Today was the official rise of the summer super moon. It was beautiful. Hidden from sight for the beginning of my search, I went to the orchards in Hollis NH, where I sat for 45 minutes waiting for the clouds to clear. No go there, so I pack up and headed the hour drive home. I get close to a farm and there it is in all it's beautiful lunar glory. I of course pull over and got out the tripod & gear. A short viewing but got some great photographs. There was a few other places along my route home, in what I call the middle of nowhere. A wonderful scenic route to take and I do love that the worst thing I run into on my commute is wild turkey's, which are a lot trickier than you would imagine, I swear this one turkey waits for me everyday just to jump out in front of my car in the fall months. But that is a whole different story. Back to the moon. Although it was an overcast evening the lunar Gods smiled upon me and allowed me a few peeks to be able to bring it along to you. I also had a great short hike in Brookline NH at the Art Institute sculpture trails. Located right on rt. 13 it has many levels of hiking abilities to a very easy access road that goes all the way to the top. They also have a biking trail. The many trails hold sculptures that have been placed by the owner and sculpted by his students over the years. I have not made it all the way to the top as of yet but today's adventure there was pleasant, there were only 2 other hikers that I met along the path. I will post those photo's in the new adventures tab for you to take a peek at the art and maybe inspire you to take a drive over. There is no fee and they provide maps but there is no guarantee. They do have a large map that with technology you can snap a pic and take it along with you. Lots of signs making sure you don't lose your way. An easy hiking adventure I would say.
